Makran Steel Company

Makran Steel Company is committed to establishing a fully integrated iron and steel production complex in Iran. To achieve the former, this company has acquired 300 acre of land to dedicate to its development phases. It has also obtained the construction license required for various different plants planned to be constructed. Iron ore pelletizing, DRI in the form of HBI, steel making and rolling mills for flat products are among projects to complete the complex.

In its first phase, the company is constructing a Direct Reduction (DRI) plant to produce Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) with a capacity of 1.6 million tons per year in the 8th Industrial Area of Chabahar Free Zone. The project is aimed at exporting high-value products, generating foreign currency, creating employment, and driving economic development in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan.As one of the largest steel producers in the province, Makran Steel is strategically positioned to serve both domestic and international markets and play a transformative role in the industrial growth of southeastern Iran.
